Why this programme

Professional development that changes what happens on Monday morning.

M-GPEC is built for practising teachers who want their professional learning to be visible, portable and defensible. Every module ends in something you can use in your own classroom, and every competency is evidenced in a portfolio that an assessor reads.

Classrooms have changed faster than teacher training

Mixed-ability classes, multilingual learners, blended delivery and AI-assisted study are now ordinary. Foundational pedagogy has to be re-examined, not inherited.

Competence is demonstrated, not declared

A certificate that only records attendance proves very little. This programme assesses what you can actually design, teach, assess and justify.

Schools need evidence they can trust

Every certificate carries a unique number and a public verification page, so an employer can confirm the award without asking for private records.

Technology is now part of professional practice

Teachers are expected to design digital learning, evaluate tools critically and use AI responsibly — with judgement, not enthusiasm alone.

Competencies you will evidence

  • 01Learning theory applied to real classroom decisions
  • 02Learner-centred planning and differentiation
  • 03Inclusive practice for diverse learning needs
  • 04Assessment design and competency evidence
  • 05Technology-enhanced and blended learning
  • 06AI literacy for teaching and learning design
  • 07Curriculum design, mapping and coherence
  • 08Instructional leadership and coaching
  • 09Reflective, evidence-based professional growth
  • 10Global citizenship and sustainable education

Competencies are assessed against published rubrics. Evidence that does not yet meet the standard is returned with written feedback and a revision request — not a failing grade.

The certification pathway

Three levels. One progression. No shortcuts.

Each level is a standalone professional certification and a prerequisite for the next. You cannot skip ahead by opening a direct link — progression is checked on the server every time you enter a course.

Portfolio evidence

Every competency, evidenced against a published rubric

Upload documents, plans and resources. Assessors score each criterion and return written feedback.

How learning works

Study like a professional, not a spectator.

Courses are delivered as short, structured lessons with activities, scenarios, knowledge checks and reflective prompts — never a single long page of text. You move through modules, then prove what you can do.

Portfolio, not attendance

Lesson plans, teaching resources, presentations, projects and reflective entries build into a professional portfolio organised by competency — the evidence assessors actually read.

Practical scenarios and classroom cases

Each module works through authentic situations: a mixed-ability class, a department resistant to change, a cohort with interrupted schooling. You decide, then justify.

An AI tutor with your context

The tutor knows your level, your current module and your progression. It explains theory through classroom examples and coaches you — it will not write your assignments.

Audio and text interaction

Ask the tutor in writing, or listen to its explanations read aloud while you plan. Guided reflection prompts are available inside your journal at any time.

Assessment and quality assurance

Portfolio certification is only worth having if a competent person actually reads the work. Assessors review evidence against published criteria, request revisions where the standard is not yet met, and record a competency decision. Certificates are approved by the programme team before issue.

Rubric criteria are observable in the submitted evidence

Written feedback on every assessed submission

Assessment and certification

What it takes to be certified.

Certification is awarded on evidence. You must complete every compulsory module, pass each module assessment, submit the required practical assignments, complete your digital portfolio, pass the final competency assessment and meet the programme's minimum assessment standard of 70%.

Knowledge and conceptual understanding20%
Practical application30%
Professional portfolio30%
Final competency assessment20%

Weighting and the passing threshold are programme settings, reviewed by the programme team. Pass marks never fall below the published standard, and no certificate is generated by completion of lessons alone.

Assessment methods

  • Multiple-choice knowledge checks at the end of every module
  • Scenario-based assessments set in authentic classrooms
  • Case study analysis with a written professional judgement
  • Lesson planning assignments assessed against a rubric
  • Project-based work and teaching resources
  • Reflective journal entries connected to modules
  • Portfolio evidence for every certification competency
  • A supervised final competency assessment

Human judgement stays in the loop

The AI tutor supports your learning and can comment on drafts. It does not award marks, sign off competencies or issue certificates. Competency decisions are recorded by an assessor against a rubric, and certificates are approved before they are published.
